I HIGHLY recommend Shannon Sasaki Photography. I found her link through another bride on theknot.com who was considering using her. She is awesome. Absolutely. Her photographs/editing style are very creative and she was definitely more my style than other photographers. She is not like a typical "island time" vendor --- she if very professional and replys to all emails/questions promptly. She even went above and beyond for us... and gave us a free underwater photo session! You have to check out her photos to see her style and then you will be convinced to book with her =)

As a wedding planner - it is always refreshing to meet vendors who are prompt with responses, on time and super on top of everything - this describes Shannon to a tee. She was a joy to work with and on top of coordination of photos with the couple and family. She could take command of the group and we didn't have to look over to make sure the shots we requested were captured... she was already all over that. Most couples don't realize that one of the most important things about a a good photographer is how comfortable you feel with them. Shannon was super easy to be around and made the photo shoot fun, all the while trying to capture an entire list of portraits. We can't wait to see the proofs. Shannon was amazing to work with and we are so excited to do more work with her in the future:)

First let me say that I have worked with other photographers before, but I have not worked with any photographer that is as professional, honest and attentive to the needs of the customer. Shannon photographed my wedding in Honolulu on February 17, 2012 and I would recommend her for weddings (small or large) or any event. I will share a few details about our experience which I think reviewers might find helpful. Responsiveness - Shannon made communication with me a priority (even before we booked her as our photographer). My fiance and I live on the east coast and eventhough we met Shannon for the first time on our wedding day, she was always very responsive to emails, phone calls and messages. I never waited more than a day to get a response to questions or feedback. She confirmed payments via email, drafted a contract based on discussions and was dedicated to ensure your requests had been met. Professionalism - Shannon's personality is very friendly and upbeat, but that does not impact her professionalism with her customers. Contracts are written and provided in a very timely manner. Each party has a clear understanding of fees, deadlines and expectations for photographing the event. I felt very confident being so far away from Shannon and communicating via phone and online that Shannon would honor the agreement for our date and time. Shannon arrived ontime and brought several props for pictures to make it fun. She encouraged us to be free and let our personalities show! Based on her knowledge and passion for what she does, Shannon made us feel comfortable and we absolutely enjoyed our session! We created memories of our wedding during the photography session beyond what was captured on camera :). Quality - The pictures are high resoultion pictures that are bright and clear. We are very pleased with the final product. We recieved our photos in less than 30 days following our event. The sample photos on her website are nice, but cannot fully speak to the quality of her work, so we hope that this review helps to put it all in perspective. Value - The value of the product was excellent as Shannon's package fit our needs perfectly. The selection of packages available provide options so you don't pay for more than you need. Shannon was flexible in assisting you in selecting an appropriate package based on your needs. We believe that the number of photos we received were worth the price we paid for the package. Overall, I would recommend Shannon as your wedding photographer in Hawaii or elsewhere. I feel that Shannon went out of her way to convey to her customers that she values thier business from the moment of first contact. I called Shannon to inquire about services and then called a couple of other photographers. It was Shannon's professionalism and respect for your future business that made me call back. She was not pushy or secretive in sharing ideas or feedback and gave me informaiton necessary to proceed in selecting the appropriate photographer for my weddimg. Being an analytical person, I appreciated her openness to answering questions before she was selected as our photographer.

My coworker referred Shannon to me when she found out I was stressing out about picking a photographer. She assured me that Shannon was really nice and easy to get a long with and most importantly took awesome pictures. I have to admit I was a little weary at first...but after looking at her work and corresponding with her through email I am so glad that I decided to go with her. I would definitely recommend Shannon to anyone looking for a photographer. She is very professional, very patient and very knowledgeable about poses, positions, lighting, angles, everything that will make your pictures capture that very special moment.

Shannon was recommended to me by my sister in law, who told me I would absolutely love her the moment I met her. My fiance and I wanted to get our engagement pictures done near a beach since we both love the ocean. My sister in law definitely hit it spot on. Shannon was so sweet and so kind. It can be kind of daunting to pose for pictures, especially when people are watching. But Shannon made us feel so comfortable and at ease. She was came up with great ideas and even let us pick out a few spots. When my fiance wanted to do a "Karate Kid" pose she was all for it (she did such a great job with it, that we currently have it blown up in our house). Shannon is everything you want in a photographer and so much more. She has an amazing sense of when and where to take that beautiful shot, how to pose, and where to get the best light. When we show people our engagement photos, they always ask if we photoshopped the colors in our pictures. We just reply, that's exactly how our photographer captured it. I strongly recommend Shannon to take any and every picture you may need. She is unique, creative, incredibly friendly, a great listener, and just wants you to have the best experience possible. Every time I think about our pictures I just have to smile.. part of that is because Shannon was able to capture such a special moment!

I found Shannon's web site on the net and after viewing some of her work and sending her an email, decided that i had to have Shannon shoot our wedding. She was very professional, warm, cheerful and very helpful, and she made my husband and myself feel very at ease on our wedding day. As i live in Australia i only had contact with shannon via email, but she was very prompt in returning my emails, she answered all the questions i asked leaving me knowing exactly what was expected and at ease and she was also helpful in suggesting other services for me to contact. I would definately recommend shannon to anyone looking for a photographer as she was a very professional fun photographer and was definately great value for money. Thanks for all your help. Shannon Sasaki Photography is very friendly, outgoing and easy to talk to when we had our meeting and discussed for our wedding day. We recommend her to friends and family because she did an amazing job on our ceremony and reception pictures. Her work says it all on her photography!!! Yeah yeah!!!:)

Shannon was absolutely wonderful to work with! We were planning the wedding from out of town (though I grew up in Hawaii and still have family there to help with the planning), and Shannon was great at communication and responded very quickly. She was super flexible in working with what we wanted and helped make our wedding day run smoothly. Her pictures are amazing and she did such a great job of capturing the emotions and moments of the day. I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat!

Shannon is sweet, friendly, professional, very responsive, and of course, an awesome photographer. When I came across her wedding portfolio on her website, I fell in love with her take on photography and had to hire her for my wedding. She's all about capturing people as they truly are in the moment, with an artistic flare. My husband and I are originally from Hawai'i and had our wedding there, but we currently live in the mainland. So I had to do all my vendor search online and discuss details with them by phone or email. Shannon was always quick to respond over email whenever I had questions. When we finally met up in Hawai'i less than 2 weeks before the wedding, I gave her an itinerary of the ceremony and reception, as well as a list of all the desired group shots. She asked if we had "must-have" pictures, but we couldn't think of any at the time. Come wedding day, Shannon did her own thing and captured a lot of great moments for us! My head was already full of stress prior to the day, so it was wonderful that we were able to trust and leave everything to her when it came to photos. We had a lot of freedom for our poses, but it helped having her guidance. The wedding party pictures were a lot of fun too! My husband and his groomsmen did some wacky poses; they came out hilariously awesome. Highly recommend hiring Shannon for your wedding or family events!! She's able to capture fun, formal, and romantic moments. An all-in-one photographer.

We took our honeymoon in Hawaii and wanted a fun & modern photographer to document it. Shannon is just that! She was very fun to work with and made us feel very comfortable. The photos came out fantastic! Shannon also gave us some tips on local restaurants and things to do. We had a great time together and if we ever go back to Hawaii, we will definitely contact Shannon to do another photo shoot and hang out with her because she's so cool!

We truly enjoyed working with her at the weddings we have been at together. She is very responsive to emails and to any questions. She did a great job at the weddings and was very flexible with us. Shannon Sasaki is simply amazing! I have used her for about five different photoshoots, and each one has been memorable and such a fun experience. She is extrememly flexible and has the "in" on some great, local spots to shoot on the island. Her positive and fun attitude makes for a relaxing environment of fun:) And, while all of that is great, it is topped off with the fact that the final product is gorgeous. She is a true artist...I would and have recommended Shannnon to many friends; she is the first person I suggest when someone is searching for a photographer!

I had 5 months to plan my wedding because it is very hard to plan anything in the military. I had to change the dates 3 times, but Shannon was very flexible with my schedule. She worked very hard through the wedding ceremony and the reception to capture every moment. The most important thing to me was taking photos on the beach at sunset. Those photos came out amazing! I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is very pleasant to work with and her style is awesome!
